The SPIN & ORBIT conference will take place in the University of the Basque Country's HEFA-I Building (Psychology Faculty), located in the city's "Antiguo" neighborhood, the scientific heart of the city, where the University, CIC nanoGUNE, DIPC and other research centers are located.
Travel
Three airports in 100km.
- Bilbao Airport (BIO) - 102 Km.
- This is the largest of the three airports and probably the most convenient if you are flying internationally.
- Buses to San Sebastián depart from the airport hourly at quarter to the hour; the ride is 1h 15min and tickets (12,9€) can be bought at the ticket machine at the airport or in advance on Avanza's website (Origin: Aeropuerto Bilbao; Destination: Donostia-San Sebastian).
- A taxi from Bilbao Airport to Donosti costs around 190€
- San Sebastian Airport (EAS) - 20 Km.
- This may be a convenient option if you're flying via Madrid or Barcelona.
- There are several buses departing from the airport or very near it that go to Donostia (E20, E21, E23, E28, E30); the ride is 35-55 min and costs 2-3€
- A taxi from San Sebastián airport to the city costs around 55€
- Biarritz Airport (BIQ) - 50 Km.
- This option may be convenient if you're flying with Air France
- Few buses to San Sebastian (five per day, more info here)
- A taxi from the Biarritz Airport to San Sebastián costs around 135€
Train
- High Speed Train - TGV France
- Direct connection between Hendaye and Paris (4h30, 5 trains per day)
- Hendaye (France) is just 22 km from San Sebastian, with an excellent connection to the city via the local train line (Euskotren, 40min, trains every half hour)
- Hendaye also connects to Bordeaux (2h30), Poitiers (3h25), Tours (3h55)

Electric network
In San Sebastián, the common voltage is 230 V. The frequency is 50 Hz. Plugs and sockets are type F.
Climate
Warm climate, characterised by mild temperatures, high humidity, frequent clouds and regular rain spells all year-round.
Healthcare
Medical assistance will be provided in case of emergency, however, if you are coming from an EU country, please remember to bring your European Health Insurance Card.

GMT + 1 (Paris).
Water
Tap water is high-quality and drinkable.
Taxis
Taxis usually allow clients to pay with a bank card; however, we suggest asking before getting in.
Banks and cash
More than 180 bank branches are open on midweek mornings. There is an extensive network of 24-hour cash machines, this means you can take money out whenever you like.
Telephone – Use of mobile phones
There are no roaming charges in the European Union. If you have a SIM card from a member state of the EU, you will be able to use your phone with no additional charges for calls, texts or internet use in any other member state.

Bureau de change Navinet (C/Narrika, 12). Open from 10:00 to 22:00, Monday to Sunday (exchange only available for U.S. dollars and British pounds).
Wifi
No password is needed in the majority of establishments and meeting venues. It is available outdoors in gardens, streets, markets, squares and bus stops. (There is a map of the free municipal Wi-Fi areas).
The conference will take place at the university, so you will be able to connect to the eduroam network if your institution is an eduroam member.
