Physical and Electrical Laboratory Technician

to work on

Installation and maintenance of scientific equipment, including vacuum and electrical components, programing automatization processes, and CAD of specific components

 

NanoGUNE is a research center devoted to conducting world-class nanoscience research for a competitive growth of the Basque Country. NanoGUNE is a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and is recognized by the Spanish Research Agency as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.

The position is offered in the Quantum-Probe Microscopy, led by  Nacho Pascual (ji.pascual@nanogune.eu). Our research aims to elucidate the laws of magnetism, optics, and electronics at the scale of atoms and molecules. We use low-temperature Scanning Probe Microscopy to study the basic quantum phenomena behind the macroscopic behavior of matter and to manipulate their basic atomic components. The candidate will join a research line focusing on the molecular physics, nanoscale optoelectronics, superconductivity in low dimensions as well as the image gallery. The aim of the project is the installation and maintenance of scientific equipment, including vacuum and electrical components; programing automatization processes; CAD of specific components.

The position is expected to start in 01/08/2024 and for a total length of up to 6 months (01/08/2024 - 31/01/2025) in the Quantum-Probe Microscopy.
