Usage
An enhanced level of corrosion protection, especially for small but precious objects, can be achieved with a bi-layer protective stack, developed by nanoGUNE and Tecnalia. The protection is developed for metallic (e.g. steel) objects, but can be applied to polymeric objects as well.
Description
The highly efficient corrosion protection solution is based on a combination of atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique and a sol-gel coating process with a special formulation. It can be applied to precious and small objects, for example mechanical watches, visual objects such as logos, or antiques for their conservation.
