MASTER STUDENT
to work on
Medical microrobots for targeted cancer therapy
NanoGUNE is a research center devoted to conducting world-class nanoscience research for a competitive growth of the Basque Country. NanoGUNE is a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and is recognized by the Spanish Research Agency as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.
Medical microrobotics holds great promise for cancer therapy, enabling highly targeted and minimally invasive treatment. Designed to navigate the body with precision, microrobots can deliver drugs directly to cancer cells, reducing harm to healthy tissue and enhancing therapeutic effectiveness while minimizing side effects. These microrobots range from fully synthetic microstructures to bio-hybrid assemblies, both controlled remotely through externally applied physical fields.
