nanoGUNE launches a new summer internship call for university students
Edurne Sagasta, winner of the GEFES 2019 Award for best experimental thesis
The researcher Edurne Sagasta has been awarded the prize for best experimental PhD thesis by the Condensed Matter Physics Division (GEFES) of the Spanish Royal Physics Society (RSEF). The thesis entitled Spin-to-charge current conversion in systems with spin-orbit coupling was worked on at CIC nanoGUNE.
NEW EVAPORATOR FOR THIN FILM GROWTH IN HIGH VACUUM
The Spanish State Agency for Research (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities) - ERDF funds, EU, will co-finance the acquisition, installation and setting-up of a new evaporator for the growth of thin films in high vacuum at nanoGUNE.
NovaSpider, an innovative technology recently protected through a patent application
A multidisciplinary team at the CIC nanoGUNE nanoscience research centre has developed an innovative technology recently protected through a patent application. It is NovaSpider, 3D printing equipment that besides handling the familiar FDM/FFF additive printing technology, is capable of creating materials comprising nonwoven membrane layers of randomly oriented nanofibres and of microfibres with precision-controlled orientation.
Donostia – San Sebastián, a city of (nano) science and technology
ACS nano launches a virtual issue highlighting the contribution of the nanoscience community of Donostia- San Sebastián to (nano) science and technology.
CIC nanoGUNE showcases its latest technologies in 3D printing and detection systems at Basque Industry 4.0
Organised by the Basque Government’s Department for Economic Development and Infrastructure through the SPRI Group, the BEC in Barakaldo will be hosting the 6th edition of Basque Industry 4.0 tomorrow and the day after, 20 and 21 November. Representatives of Basque companies, including the CIC nanoGUNE research centre, will come together to present latest achievements by talks, demonstrations and workshops on prospective technologies that will govern future research in the fourth industrial revolution.
New uses for an innovative coating technique
The results in brief of the EU-funded ALDing project, published at CORDIS, highlight the importance of the project to boost nanoGUNE's start-up CTECHnano.
